2 Months and Surgery

We went in on April 3, 2012 for Crew's 2 month check up. He is a very healthy and happy little boy. He came in weighing 12.9 pounds 23 inches long and his head measured 15 1/2 inches. That puts him in the 50% for everything and the Dr. seemed very pleased. He said that Crew went through a little growth spurt, but seems to be doing great. From the exam the Dr. said that he is very healthy and everything looks great. He was having a little trouble with his belly button so the Dr. burned it to make sure that it closed and started to heal properly. He said that it is not very common but common enough that he has seen it before. 
Crew is a very happy little fella, he is always talking and cooing when he is awake. He is sleeping in his crib now, which makes me think he is getting to old too fast!! He recognizes Dan and I and loves to talk to us. He LOVES his bath time, but is not a fan of getting dressed. He also LOVES to be a naked little boy which kinda scares me for the future ;) We are so glad he is in our lives and is a healthy little one. We could not ask for a better, cuter, amazing little boy. We love him so much and are so blessed to have him as our son. 

 (This was right before I went back to the operating room. I have to say that I look pretty happy and am not too worried about the surgery!)

April 4th was my 26th Birthday. It was just a fantastic day! I went in at 10:45 to get surgery on my sinus cavities. I had been having trouble since last October and have pretty much been sick for 6 months straight. I went in for a CT Scan and it showed that my sinus cavities were totally blocked off with infection and the drainage ports were blocked. My left side was deformed and did not have any way to drain. So the Dr. went in and cleaned it all out and made a pathway on the left side so it can drain in the future. I thought that it was going to be horrible and that I was not going to be able to take care of Crew for at least a week. But I was wrong. We did not even have to fill the RX for the pain pills, I was able to use what I had left from the C-Section. It has not been painful at all and the recovery has come pretty quick. I am so grateful for this! Dan and my parents were amazing during this time. They helped out so much with Crew and helping me in any way that I needed. Thank you SO much!! I will go in tomorrow to get my first check up and see how things are healing. I hope to hear good news! 

(This was about 5 minutes after I got out! I must say that I am a pretty sexy beast!)

It was a good Birthday too cause we had dinner and family time Tuesday night. It was so nice to get together with the family and celebrate. I am so very grateful for the family that I have. Thanks for making my day special!
