Emily went in today to get the tube in her left ear. Everything went great, she was only in surgery for about 10-15 minutes. It was a pretty quick one. This is the 3rd time that she has gone in for that surgery, hopefully this time it will last the 3 years that it is suppost to. This is going to be something that she will need for the rest of her life. Hopfully sometime in the near future they will discover how to fix it permantly with out the tubs so she can just live without the pain all of the time and without going in every few years to get this done. She was such a champ and did great. She got a stuffed animal and the cutest blanket ever. There was a lady who made a bunch and donated them to the children who have to have surgery, it seriously is SOO cute.
Also grandma Reese went in yesterday to get her knee worked on. She has been having problems for months now and the last time she went in to the Dr. they had her x-ray backwards so they said that she was fine....then the real Dr. came in and said that is not right lets just turn it around and then he noticed that her knee was crap and she needed to get in. They had her scheduled for Feb. of next year but they had an opening for yesterday. He opened her knee up and said holy crap that is bad. They did a knee replacement and she seems to be doing pretty good.
I am so glad for the time that we live in and the tools and doctors that we have today for the things that we need. Life really is great and so advanced now days.

Ashley, I could not have said it better. I am so glad for the time we live in. I can't imagine Grandma Ann having to live with the pain she was in, it will take so time to heal from such a big surgery cause a new knee is a big deal, but still, such a miracle. I am praying for a miracle for Em too. A completer healing would be AMAZING but I'll settle for maybe an advance in ear tubes or maybe a surgery that would make it so she wouldn't need one anymore. Just something to make her life easier. She is such a trooper and really doesn't complain but I know that she would be so happy to have an improvment even if it was a small one.
